Ipseity
This body of work is based on my cultural identity attached to the land of my origin, Israel. It considers the idea of the protective structure as a living-growing organism suggesting both an object of protection, and one of spiritual arming of the self. It aims to highlight the spiritual and political concerns of identity as well as imbue a sense of cultural belonging by using Hebrew text, fabric texture, and manipulation of ceramic forms.
